Road trip day 4 and 5, marked an item off my bucket list with a visit to the Silos.

Like so many I have watched every episode of Fixer Upper, and more then once I have been inspired by Joanna’s designs. So when we decided to take a road trip I made sure to pencil in a visit to the silos.

We planned a two nights stay in Waco so I could have a day to explore. We arrived in Waco on May 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm. We spend the remainder of the day exploring the town. We ate a Barbeque picnic by the lake and took the dogs for a long walk before we retired to the fifth wheel to watch a movie.

The next morning I was up early to prepare for my day. Dave dropped me off at 9:30 and my first stop was the bakery. The line was fairly short and while waiting I had the opportunity to visit with another out of town guest. I ordered four cupcakes the Chocolatier (chocolate cake with chocolate frosting), the Shiplap (Vanilla cake with vanilla cream frosting), The Lemon Lavender ( lemon lavender cake with lemon cream frosting), and a Nuts and Bolts ( vanilla cake with pecans and walnuts and cream cheese icing). The cupcakes lasted us three days and each one was delicious.

The Silos did not disappoint, the shops were fun and stylish.

The grounds are beautifully designed.

The little white church is a wonderful and unique addition to the grounds.

The garden area was a favorite, the shop, the garden beds, the green house, and small outbuilding was adorable.

I ended my visit with a scone and coffee setting outside enjoying the beautiful gardens and the wonderful weather.

If I lived closer I would probably visit again. Who knows maybe someday there will be a girls trip. But if that never happens I will be content, I have marked it off my bucket list.
